    Cebu Vacation 2022 | Recap

Hello Creatives! Just want to document my last vacation to Cebu this October 2022. Below will be my schedule and a few photos. Will be linking related blogposts too. This vacation is from 29th-Sept to 29-October 2022. The main reason for this holiday is  to surprise my mom for her 60th Birthday and indeed it was successful! :) Thanks to my brother and sis-in-law for keeping it till the day/night I arrived! To ensure safety, because we all know that even though restrictions have eased by, I still chose to stay in a hotel for 2-3 days. Here’s my day 1 vlog: Day 2 – Government Items – Making sure…

On Honesty & Dishonesty (Transpo Edition)

This is a long overdue blog post. I’ve intended to publish this while I was still in Cebu. It’s actually a short sharing on #Honesty & #Dishonesty in these five (5) types of transportation in the Philippines.   TAXI  – LTFRB set a new calibration scheme for taxis in Cebu. That is a 40 PHP flag down, an additional 13.50 PHP for every kilometer and 2 PHP running for every two (2) minutes waiting in a traffic. This set up though is only applicable if the taxi franchise has calibrated the new meter and has installed the new requirements before using this fare format. As I sat on the taxi…

Cebu – Temple of Leah (2018)

Temple of Leah has started making the buzz all over Cebu and nearby cities as it captures the heart of many Cebuanos & Filipinos. This temple isn’t a place of worship. Instead it is an expression of love from a husband Teodirico Adarna to his late wife Leah Albino Adarna. Also dubbed as Cebu’s version of Taj Mahal. Right after our unplanned trip to Sirao Flower Farm, we headed to this temple which is a 20-25 minutes drive by motorcycle (habal-habal). 75/- Pesos is the fare per person, one way. Entrance Fee @ 50/- pesos per person (as of Feb 2018) What can you do/see?  Basically the temple is open,…

Cebu – Sirao Flower Farm (Garden) 2018

Welcome to Sirao Flower Farm(Garden) – aka Cebu’s Little Amsterdam. This is one of those successful unplanned trip. Been trying to complete my to do’s as I continue to enjoy my longer vacation here in Cebu. Gemma, one of my highschool buddies initiated this and instead of a simple lunch out/roaming around SM or Ayala, we took the high road! hahaa literally high  going up to Busay and beyond! This farm has been on my 2017 bucketlist and missed that chance last year, so it excites me to finally pay a visit! How to get there: Which ever part of Cebu you are from, Colon Street will be the best starting…

Cebu – City of Naga Boardwalk

City of NAGA, Cebu. My annual vacation corresponds to annual get together. Although I haven’t schedule for all this year, my bonding session with my cousins Clea (IG: @polarisceinture) and ChinChin (IG: @grecienechin2) is a must. This year we decided to visit Naga City Cebu Boardwalk. Each city or town nowadays, tries to develop beautiful attractions in their locality to attract tourist. This is Naga City’s approach to it. This shoreline boardwalk costs around 62M running 195 meter in length. A beautiful spot to bond with family, friends and special someone. In fact, this visit is also my friend Dion’s Pre-valentine episode on hi YouTube account walakokasabotpasabtako; where we interviewed…

For many years, Cebu has been known for being the Queen City of the South. The white sand beaches, the food, the people and more has contributed to the popularity of Cebu. Not only that, every new year marks another year of festivity! In this blog post, allow me to share some basic information about this popular event back in my hometown to which where and when the Sinulog Festival comes in! The above video is one of this year’s presenter – from the Municipality of Dumanjog!   What & How Sinulog started? Sinulog started as a celebratory ritual for the locals of Zubu (Cebu’s old name). Upon the arrival of…

Travel Guide : Simala Church Cebu

Cebu is one of the first seat of Christianity in the Philippines, it is full of churches that represents the countries long  history of Catholicism – accompanied with various festivals in honor of Jesus, Mary and all the different saints. A municipality in southern Cebu named Sibonga has become a tourist/devotee destination because of the #EuropeFeels / #ItalyFeels  – SIMALA Church has. It is a façade in honor of Mama Mary.   This January, I went on a vacation and took a trip down south to visit the church and paid homage to the Blessed Virgin for all of her blessings she and her son have showered to me and to my family! Here I’m…
