Every person we meet in life is in a way or another a TEACHER. Some teaches us with the simple acts that will leave us thinking and wondering. Some teaches us lessons the hard way. #LearningToSeeWhatsTheLesson Click To Tweet
“Where can I run from your love? If I climb to heavens You are there”.
“If I fly to the sunrise or sail beyond the sea, Still I find you there”.
– You Are Near, page 236, CFC-FFL Sound of Trumpets songbook”
The above thoughts and reflections (also became my Facebook status) and tweetable are only three of the many “REMINDERS” God has bestowed upon me within this week. Made me think that there seemed to be a pattern for the whole 7 days. As I was contemplating on what to pray and be grateful for – for my nearly similar day-to-day housewife life, on a certain moment I get to be whispered by the Holy Spirit of these tap on the shoulder reminding me of these simple yet powerful prompts of God’s goodness.
He uses people to teach us something.
There’s been a few encounters and I wanna share this simple one. I’m on in my 3rd week love affair with Dubai Metro – a struggle to learn how to for a newbie Dubai resident like me – that I even dreamt of this while I was on the airplane! When I saw 2 labourers asking for instructions where to go. They clearly had struggles. Good thing the person they asked was accommodating enough. Most people would snob them and probably ignore too. Thank God the man was helpful. Poor men, but then as one of the beatitudes in the scriptures says, “blessed are the poor, for theirs is the kingdom of God.” This simple spectator moment got me thinking. To be better understand, deal nicely and look at them in the eyes of grace. Continue to care even when they are difficult to love.
Refused for a better one
Life has so many rejections. Lately I’ve been receiving a lot of it. To be specific, job application rejections. Month after month after month I have piled emails of refusal emails saying a I’m not qualified or in a better tense saying they have hired someone else. But then this quote clearly shouted in my head “Life’s Rejection is God’s Protection” and indeed proven. I have a story to tell. In perfect time I’d be sharing it. For now let’s just savor the fact that He has a better plan for whatever “NO” that life throws at us.
To cap the week, comes our household meeting where once again another nudge came in.
Hey, JM I’m with you!
Sounds like a lyrics of a song right? But it is more than that. So there goes the lyrics of the song YOU ARE NEAR. Wherever we go, we may look up or down or sideways – God is here. He is with us. If only we look at life in the eyes of faith, we will recognize God in the simplest things. “There is beauty in the ordinary.” Where are you now? Is a very manifestation that He is with you – for life is still yours. Mornings are my favorite examples of God’s presence. Seemed ordinary but actually a glory.
I thought this will be short, ending me to write a not-so-little sharing… 🙂
So, last week? 16 – 22 June 2018 – is a #REMINDERSweek
What do you have in store for me this week Lord?
God bless you!
